Amy Schumer shared a text conversation with Jennifer Lawrence and besties everywhere can relate

Yes, we've got the Hollywood golden couples (Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds will you please stand up), but can we just take a second to give a shoutout to the real MVPs here? Romance fades, as we so brutally learned through the secondhand heartbreak of the unexpected divorces between Anna Faris and Chris Pratt, as well as the fresher wound that is Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan. But friendship? That stuff lasts forever, as we've so kindly been reminded by Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence.

The two hilarious and very successful women are the two gal pals we never knew we needed, and we were first introduced to their friendship when Amy posted a picture of her and the Hunger Games actress riding a jet ski together (as you do).

They attended concerts together and even started working on a screenplay after Jennifer saw Trainwreck and fell in love with Amy's style. Amy had similar praise for Jennifer, gushing about her on The Daily Show by saying: "She's the coolest chick you'll ever meet. She's beautiful."

Despite the fact that the two have become increasingly busy since their beautiful friendship blossomed – Amy has been working on her latest venture, I Feel Pretty, and Jennifer was away in Budapest for the good part of last year filming Red Sparrow – the BFFs still find the time to catch up, as good BFFs do.

In a recent interview on Ellen, Amy was being quizzed by the host about a bunch of stuff, including the last thing that Jennifer texted her. She revealed that Jennifer spontaneously asked if she wanted to hang out that night, only to turn around and cancel before Amy could even respond. It's pretty hilarious, and Amy uploaded the screenshots to Instagram later to show exactly how the conversation went down.

Early on a Friday morning, Jennifer was clearly planning out her day by mentioning she was about to go to "park" (does she mean the park, Runyon Canyon Park, that she was going to park her car?!). She also inquired about whether Amy and her husband Chris Fischer were free to get dinner together that night.

But in the same flurry of texts, Jennifer turned around to reveal that actually, she was busy and that she wouldn't be able to hang out.

Amy replied an hour and a half later simply with a "Good talk", just as besties jokingly would when one of you has made and cancelled plans before you could even read them.

Despite their failed attempt to catch up, it seems that their movie collab is still going ahead (albeit slowly). Speaking on Watch What Happens Live, Jennifer said last month that she and Amy "just had a table read two weeks ago." The duo star in the film as sisters, and she said they've got a "completed format, and we need a director and we need a date."

"Amy, in this movie, she has it very together," Jennifer went on. "It’s her lifelong dream to be a flight attendant. She works at the airport. And I’m a mess."

Was the text conversation just Jennifer getting in character, then? Who knows, but I'm ready for more of it.
