Ashley Graham shares sports bra fail on Instagram and women everywhere can relate

Ashley Graham has been making waves in the fashion industry since the early Noughties, and she's recently been announced as the world's first plus-size supermodel.

But despite all the success the 31-year-old has had in recent years - she's still like us in some regards - especially when it comes to sartorial disasters.

If you've got larger boobs, you're going to be able to relate to Ashley's recent sports bra woe, which she shared to her Instagram Stories yesterday.

During a workout session with personal trainer, Kira Stokes, in New York City, Ashley can be seen nailing some ab exercises and sled-pull rows, but then it all gets a bit too real. When Kira comes to give the model some feedback on her rope skipping form, Ashley cuts her off.

"Look, let me just stop you right there," she says, huffing and puffing. "I have the wrong bra on today, jumping rope, my breasts are hitting me in the face. They hurt, they're going to be more sore than my abs."

In the next story, you can hear the trainer's take on the matter. "Here's the thing as a trainer that doesn't really have to be concerned about that, I'm seeing it and I'm understanding how much..." and then she audibly gasps and says "oh my god", when Ashley comes over to show her the redness on her chest.

"Wear the right bra, laides! This is not cute," Ashley concludes, and damn straight.

But don't fret, Ashley doesn't plan on losing her famous curves anytime soon. "I don’t work out to lose weight, I don’t work out because I want to be thin, I work out to stay healthy, strong, firm and to keep my mind clear, " she asserted in a recent Instagram post.

In any regard, it's evident that the Lincoln, Nebraska native remains a passionate advocate of body positivity. "You have to continue to talk about it," Graham said in a recent interview. "I have always believed that skin colour is not a trend, age is not a trend, and my size is not a trend. And that’s why I believe that right now, this can’t be a trend—if our voices are heard loud and clear, it won’t be."

Going on to stress that she's one of the few models representing a majority market, Graham stated:

"Sixty-seven percent of the women in America wear a size 14 or larger, sixty-seven percent. Maybe you could ignore those consumers before, but now, thanks to social media, they’re making their voices heard. Women are demanding that brands give them what they want. And what they want is to be visible."

Good on you, Ashley. Now go get a new sports bra, stat!
