Every parent wants the best for their kid. And it turns out that if you really want to nurture your child in the long-run, it's the selection of their name that might be most important.

No-one wants anything too ambiguous (I'm looking at you, Hollywood A-listers), and a name that's too difficult to pronounce also isn't going to do your child any favours at school. But apparently, the name you bestow upon your baby might also influence whether or not they'll be filthy rich.

Nameberry.com, the go-to website for baby-naming inspiration, has revealed which names have the most potential to help people become millionaires. Linda Rosenkrantz shared her theory that the more successful the name sounds, the more successful they person with the name will become.

She created her rankings based on data from Forbes and therichest.com about the richest people in the world. In the boys' list, she listed Bill in the top spot (after Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft) as well as Mark (Zuckerberg, of Facebook). On the girls' names list, Alice can be found among the top spots (after Alice Walton, the woman behind Walmart), as well as Jacqueline (like Jacqueline Mars, you know, like the chocolate bar company).

She pointed out the girl names are more unique-sounding than the more generic male names, which also helps those striving for riches and influence to stand out and have their name known.

While the baby needn't worry about whether she will become a millionaire or not (she probably already is one), turns out that Kylie's obscure choice in the name may further help with Stormi's fortune anyway because she'll make an impression more easily with a name that stands out.

Even better is if the name has some kind of associations of wealth to it too. "A more obvious approach would be to use names and words and brands associated with luxury and great wealth – all of which are conceivable baby names," Linda asserted.
