Bride reads out cheating fiancé’s racy affair text messages instead of vows at wedding

When a bride-to-be found out that her fiancé had been cheating on her, she decided to expose him and his affair in as public a manner as possible - at their wedding.

And, luckily for those of us who revel in other people's drama, the woman in question decided to divulge every last detail of the dramatic saga on Whimn.

So, read on for one of the most gripping (and painful) wedding accounts you'll have ever heard.

And check out this groom's very unfortunate reaction to seeing his bride for the first time:

It all began the night before her wedding. The woman - who uses the pseudonym Casey - was "hanging out in a glitzy hotel room" when she got a text from a number she didn't recognise.

The text consisted of a series of screenshots accompanied by a message which read: "I wouldn't marry him. Will you?"

"The screenshots were of conversations between my husband-to-be and another woman," Casey recalls. "Loads of them, including selfies of the pair."

"She was the opposite of me. I’m blonde and fair, and this unknown woman had dark hair and olive skin."

The explicit texts went months back and some of them were dated to just a few days prior:

"This weekend. You and I. It is on, hot stuff. Bring your A game."

"Your body is f**king incredible. And s**t do you know how to use it. I wish my GF had half the skills you do."

"I miss you so much. I can’t stop thinking about L, S, F’ing you. I’ve never had this kind of connection before."

Needless to say, Casey was devastated to learn that the man she was supposed to be marrying literally the next day had betrayed her in such a major way.

But while her friends "insisted [she] call him immediately and call the wedding off," Casey had other ideas. She wanted revenge - pure and simple.

The heartbroken bride was "going to 'out' him in front of [their] friends and family."

"I walked down the aisle with leaden feet, my dream dress now just a costume," Casey writes. "As he saw my face he knew this was not an ecstatic woman on her big day, but he had no idea what was coming."

"I arrived at the front of the room, took a big breath and I faced our friends, our parents and I told them the truth about Alex."

After announcing in front of all their friends and family that the wedding was now off, Casey took out her phone and read every single message Alex's lover had sent her. Humiliated, the groom made a straight beeline for the church exit while his family looked on in absolute horror.

What's important to take away from the regrettable events that Casey found herself in, is that she still manages to end her account of the day on a surprisingly optimistic note.

Casey explains that while she had cancelled the wedding reception, she proceeded to party with her guests after the short-lived ceremony came to an abrupt end. It was, in Casey's words, "a celebration of honesty, finding true love and following your heart even when it hurts."
