Carrie Underwood just gave birth to her second child and the pictures are beyond adorable

Carrie Underwood took to Instagram yesterday to announce the birth of her second child - a boy - with husband, Mike Fisher.

As well as sharing some sweet snaps of the new addition, she also revealed his name. "Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday...his mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle," the American singer and songwriter wrote in the caption. "Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good..."

This is Carrie and Mike's second baby boy. Jacob joins three-year-old Isaiah, who was born on February 27th, 2015.

The Cry Pretty singer shared several photos of the newborn. The first shows her NHL player husband beaming as he holds Jacob, while the second sees Carrie cradling Jacob against her chest. The final shows a proud big brother, Isaiah, with his new sibling.

Carrie recently opened up about the miscarriages she suffered prior to conceiving Jacob during a candid interview with CBS Sunday Morning this past September.

"I kind of planned that 2017 was, you know, going to be the year that I work on new music, and I have a baby," she told Tracy Smith. "We got pregnant early 2017, and it didn’t work out."

She added that she got pregnant once more in the spring, but that it also resulted in miscarriage;

"Got pregnant again, early 2018. Didn't work out. So, at that point, it was just kind of like, 'Okay, like, what's the deal? What is all of this?'"

The country singer said that she then proceeded to throw herself into music. "Cause I would literally have these horrible things going on in my life, and then have to go smile and, like, do some interviews or, like, do a photo shoot or something, you know? So it was just kind of, like, therapeutic, I guess."

Her family also proved to be tantamount to her healing. "My son, Isaiah, is the sweetest thing," she continued. "And he’s the best thing in the world. And I’m like, ‘If we can never have any other kids, that’s okay, because he’s amazing.' And I have this amazing life. Like, really, what can I complain about? I can’t. I have an incredible husband, incredible friends, an incredible job, an incredible kid. Can I be mad? No."

Shortly after Carrie posted Jacob's birth announcement, her husband, Mike, shared a celebratory post of his own, which touched on the couple's conception journey.

"Jacob Bryan Fisher! You are a gift from our Lord! The last few years has had its challenges and it makes this moment even more sweet," Fisher captioned the Instagram post.

"We didn’t know if Izzy would ever have another sibling but we learned through it all that God is in control and his timing is perfect. He is good all the time even in the difficult times that are hard to understand."
