Chrissy Teigen's response to John Legend being nominated for a Tony award is priceless

It would be safe to say that, as a society, we are absolutely obsessed with the concept of the celebrity. While the lifestyle of the rich and famous has long been a subject of interest to us paupers, the rapid rise of social media has only helped heighten this fascination. The likes of Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram have all contributed to making us feel closer to our idols than ever before and, in turn, it has launched the careers of certain people (*cough* The Kardashians *cough*) to an unparalleled level of fame.

One woman who has embraced social media is Chrissy Teigen. However, if her latest tweets are anything to go by,  it would appear that the 32-year-old is not a huge fan of our celebrity-obsessed ways. A little over a week ago, Chrissy Teigen took to her Twitter account to literally tell us to stop doing the exact thing that I am doing right now. The model/chef/Twitter legend said that she had enough of websites covering her "EPIC" clapbacks and asked that we stop "with these stupid words."

"If I had my choice, not a single story would ever be written about any tweets of mine. they make people (me) seem like...the most annoying people. the "clapback" wasn't "epic", it was just a f*ccccccking tweet - just please stop with these stupid words."

"Don't get me wrong. I love journalists an I understand the interest and I understand the importance of clicks but can we stop with saying every tweet be EPIC or HILARIOUS or SHOCKING...ok end rant)."

Well, that is all well and good, Chrissy, but sadly, you keep giving us the ammo that my editor requires in order to ask me to write a whole 500 words on what you're typing on that little keyboard of yours. The latest of which, for the record, was absolutely SHOCKING.

For those of you who are unaware, Chrissy is married to singer John Legend and they're an absolute pair of legends. For the majority of people, the duo are the definition of "couple goals" with them being liable to SAVAGE clapbacks about one another online. However, the latest one from Teigen might be her most HILARIOUS yet.

After finding out that her husband had been nominated for a Tony award due to his work on Spongebob Squarepants: The Musical, Teigen admitted that she had no idea that her husband had been working on the project.

"John got nominated for a Tony this morning for a song he apparently wrote for spongebob squarepants. Why does he not tell me when he writes SpongeBob songs?? What else is he lying about?? Are there other songs out there??"

Understandably given the EPIC nature of the tweet, everyone was in stitches.

While Chrissy will undoubtedly be disappointed to see her name in the headlines again, she keeps on giving us gold. Chrissy, if you're reading this and you honestly want us to stop, delete your Twitter. Until then, keeping being EPIC.
