As a fellow Slytherin, I've always had an element of compassion for Draco Malfoy. Maybe it's the peroxide blonde, slick-backed hair, or the fact that he refused to identify Harry after he was captured by snatchers. Whatever the reason, I never hated him as much as other people do.
However, what is weird to see, is Draco Malfoy hanging around with Hermione Granger and Neville Longbottom. While the actors have grown-up, remained friends and all had success in their careers, there is still something peculiar about seeing images of them together.
Regardless of whether Hermoine and Draco may or may not have been the best-of-friends on screen, their relationship off it was rather different. Speaking to Seventeen in 2011, Emma Watson (Hermione) admitted to having the hots for Tom Felton (Draco), saying that he was her first crush.
"For the first two movies, I had a huge crush on Tom Felton. He was my first crush," she said.
"He totally knows. We talked about it – we still laugh about it. We are really good friends now, and that's cool."
However, despite the fact that he was getting crushed on by literally every teenage boy's dream girl, Tom claims that he was oblivious to the whole thing and instead recalls the time when she seemed more than happy to smack him across the face.
"I remember in the second film when I knew this was going to happen I went up to her and told her to slap me (it was slap at the time), to rehearse it. Course she just walked up and slapped me across the face," he said, laughing. "My male ego didn't quite know what to do with it."
And then when did it go from a slap to a punch? "I'm not sure! Somewhere between that and the third film, it got a little bit more violent," he explained. "Luckily she didn't actually clock me with her fist. She's got a bit of a mean right hook, Emma Watson."
But, it seems like that violent episode is a thing of the past now, as Tom took to his Instagram to share a photo of himself, Watson, and Matthew Lewis (Neville) all beaming into the camera.
Captioning the image "School mates #hogwartsalumni," Tom took us back to the better days when Harry Potter ruled the world.
Although the actors may look completely comfortable in each other's company, they are something of a love triangle. Not only did Watson fancy Felton, but Lewis also had the hots for the Beauty and The Beast actress. The 28-year-old hunk may have plenty of suitors now, but he recalls how during his time of set he only had eyes for one girl.
"We started tutoring on set and we were on set all the time, so I think everyone had crushes on everyone else at some point. There was always Valentine’s Day – everyone would write secret Valentine’s cards to different people. I think on the second [film] there was like love notes and love letters flying around.
"I probably had a crush on Emma for a couple of years, until I was 13 or 14 – something like that. I mean nothing ever came of it, anyway. It never went anywhere."
It's great to see that the cast all meet up with each other now and then, with many of them being the faces of our childhood. Hopefully, this is the start of an epic franchise, in which they create a love triangle between Malfoy, Hermione and Neville. Anyway, if this isn't the case, someone has probably made some fan fiction about it on Reddit somewhere.
