Everything we learned from Kylie Jenner's interview with Kim Kardashian

As pop-culture icons, new mothers and beauty moguls with a combined estimated net worth of £165 million, there really isn't anyone better to interview Kylie Jenner than her older sister, Kim Kardashian.

In an interview with the Evening Standard, mother-of-three, Kim, quizzed her youngest sister on insecurities, motherhood and fame. After keeping her pregnancy out of the public eye for nine months, Jenner gave birth to her first child with Travis Scott, Stormi Webster, back in February. She told Kim that motherhood has "just been so amazing, and so much fun."

"I’m learning so much more about myself and life, and it’s been such a great experience," the 20-year-old continued.

"Of course there’s hard times and stuff… even in the beginning, just not sleeping, the nights, like, baby blues… and all the ups and downs. And also even when I’m here it was so hard to leave this morning. I’m like, 'I’ll be right back, I’m so sorry, I have to leave!' and she doesn’t even know what’s going on. I think about her all the time, anywhere I am. I would rather be with her or wish she can come everywhere. I can’t wait till she can come everywhere with me, because right when she’s old enough I’ll bring her everywhere."

Speaking about how she and her boyfriend, rapper Travis Scott - who is purportedly her favourite musician of all time - came up with their three-month-old's name, Kylie confessed: "I really don’t know how we thought of Storm."

"Her dad insisted it was him, but I feel like it was me. And that kind of just stuck with us. And then I didn’t really like just Storm — I didn’t feel like that was her name. So then it became Stormi. And it just stuck," she said. "I feel like there were a lot of other names that I might have even liked better to be honest, but I feel like Stormi picked her own name, like it was just her name."

Explaining that she wants her daughter to grow up to be "strong", "independent" and "confident", Kylie elaborated on how being a mother has changed her outlook on life and made her less selfish.

"Every time I leave and I’m stressed about leaving her, I’m like, 'I’m doing it for you.' Everyone says you change completely when you become a mum, but I really feel the same, just better," she asserted. "So I don’t know what really has completely changed my world, besides her, of course. But I feel like it’s only gotten better. You’re less selfish — and I actually enjoy changing diapers. It’s really satisfying. To make her clean again. And I don’t know, the whole thing is really… it’s like such an amazing experience."

Kylie gave birth to Stormi just two weeks after Kim welcomed her third child via surrogate, Chicago West. Two months later, the Kardashian-Jenner family welcomed yet another baby girl - Khloé Kardashian's first child, True Thompson.

Speaking about the closeness in age between their three daughters, Kylie told Kim "It’s crazy how fast they grow, because Chi is just, like, two weeks older, but you can tell she’s a little bit more advanced. And then, right when Stormi hits two weeks, she’s doing the same things Chi was doing, and they’re like… it’s just crazy to see them grow up together."

"It was so much fun [being pregnant at the same time as Khloé]. We would just experience everything together. I was a little bit ahead of her, so we were both doing it for the first time and I would just like warn her of things that happened… the amazing things that are going on, and feeling the baby for the first time. So we would talk, like, on a daily basis about everything," she continued.

Kylie also revealed that the inspiration behind launching Kylie Cosmetics - which racked up an impressive £237 million in estimated sales last year - came from her own insecurities.

"I was insecure about my lips, and lipstick is what helped me feel confident. And I feel like people could see that it’s authentic to me, and it was organic, and it just worked!"

Well, between the massive success of Kylie Cosmetics and the fact that she's settled so seamlessly into motherhood, it's evident that Kylie Jenner is having a stellar 2018.
