These fake see-through t-shirts will let you show off the summer body you don't have

Now that the summer months are upon us, many people, through self-hatred or societal pressure, will be hitting the gym in search of that elusive #SummerBod.

However, if you've left it until, well, now, chances are that if you're looking to shed more than a couple of pounds in a few weeks, you're going to be left unhappy with the differences between your body and that of your favorite Insta star (but seriously, don't sweat it, they probably bought theirs!).

And on the subject of buying your dream summer bod, it turns out that it's a lot simpler (and cheaper) than paying a plastic surgeon a visit. All you need is a humble t-shirt - with a difference, of course.

Manufactured in Japan, you can now get semi see-through t-shirts that make it look like you've got the knockers or the abs of your dreams. Just be sure to wear them around a Tinder date and not someone who actually knows what you look like underneath it.

While this might sound like an outrageous idea, in theory, the effect is so subtle that you can look like you've been slaving away to get your dream summer bod without looking like an idiot who's faking it.

I mean, if I saw someone in one of these t-shirts? Phwar.

They don't cost an arm and a leg (or should I say, boob and an ab) either, and retail for ¥3,888 in Japan, which equates to £28.16 in the UK and $35.46 in the US.

Tempted. Genuinely tempted.
