Woman slid into Michael B. Jordan's DMs and it totally worked

The Marvel universe is full of impossibly hunky men - I mean, the franchise has practically been Chris-ened by the Hemsworths (not to mention Pratt and Evans), and the males of Black Panther are pretty easy on the eye too. Certainly, while we're used to seeing genetically blessed men saving the world and blowing stuff up on the big screen, surely it's about time for a real-life superhero to enter our non-cinematic existence.

One woman made this a reality for herself, after she discovered that Michael B. Jordan (aka, Erik Killmonger for all you Marvel fans), was filming on her school's campus.

While many of us shy away from taking control in romantic situations, one Temple University Student showed us how it's done after she scored a date with one of Hollywood's most in-demand men: Michael B. Jordan.

Sylvia Wilson was just an ordinary 21-year-old student, that is until she discovered that everyone's favorite antagonist, Michael B. Jordan, was filming on her university campus. Now, while the majority of us would skulk around the quad, hoping to sneak a peek, or even get a cheeky selfie with the actor, Sylvia was much more upfront about her crush.
The student started a joke about how she was planning to send Michael a DM for a picture, but she actually followed through and slid right into his Instagram inbox, asking to take him out for a smoothie. You don't ask, you don't get, folks.

And guess what? He said yes.

Sylvia took to Twitter to share some pictures of their encounter, captioning the tweet "so I slid in his DM’s, and then this happened".

Speaking to Buzzfeed, Sylvia explained "It was hot, and I didn’t think it’d be appropriate to ask to buy him a drink, so I opted for a smoothie." And ever the gentleman, Michael didn't even care about keeping cool in the heat - he had a little back and forth with the 21-year-old, and after a brief "struggle" with security, picked up Sylvia and some of her friends.

And, of course, Sylvia divulged some seriously important information. "He smelled like Mahogany Teakwood from Bath & Body Works but better," she revealed.

As of now, Sylvia's tweet has garnered 149,000 likes, and inspired the people of the internet to bite the bullet and slide into those DMs.

"You gave me so much hope lolol. I got one up my sleeve. Ima #pullasylvia. Officially G.O.A.T," one Twitter user wrote, while another added, "Please tell me exactly what you said to him imma try it on my crush".

However, for one individual, who tried Sylvia's approach back in 2016, it didn't work out so well. "I’m heated. I slid in his DMs back in 2016 & got no reply".

Well, there you have it. Sylvia is certainly an inspiration to us all - next time you take a fancy to someone, why not slide them a cheeky message? You never know what could happen...
