You can now have a Pokémon-themed wedding in Japan and the pictures are amazing

While Pokémon is arguably past its late 90's heyday - for nostalgic reasons or otherwise - it remains in the hearts of many. And one company in Japan has decided to capitalise on this, and are offering Pokémon-themed weddings.

Escrit is a Japanese-based company specialising in wedding ceremonies, and it's now decided to bring its services to die-hard Pokémon fans. But this isn't any themed wedding, it's professionally designed, and spearheaded by the experts at The Pokémon Company's licensing department. And fans are sure to go wild for their offerings!

If you select the wedding package, you'll be provided with not one, but two Pikachu mascots. And you can do anything you want with them, but most opt to put them to use as ushers, ring bearers, or even as their best man or maid of honour.

Your food and drink options won't be traditional either - there will be Pikachu-branded food, as well as desert trays which feature little replicas of Poké balls.
