For some bizarre reason, breastfeeding in public is a very divisive topic. Some people have absolutely no issue with it and others believe there is something very immodest and distasteful about feeding your babies out in the open.
But even the fiercest of public breastfeeding critics wouldn't go as far as to make threats of violence towards women who feed their kids wherever necessary. Or would they?
Well, apparently some would. In fact, one woman named Carly Clark came under fire for doing just that in a post to Facebook.
"I’m not sorry," she began. "The next female that tries to whip her boob out to breastfeed in front of my kids will get a black eye, move that baby [because] I’ll punch it too #zerocare #why #inpublicletsjustshowkidsboobs #notmine."

Perhaps unsurprisingly, given how brazenly the woman articulated her threats, the post went viral and sparked a great deal of backlash from outraged mothers and users of the internet in general.
People began using their own social media pages to give their own two cents on Carly's rather aggressively-stated views.
One woman wrote: "This woman Carly Clark from South Carolina made a post directed to breastfeeding mothers and their babies saying that next time they breastfeed their baby in front of her 3 kids she would give the breastfeeding mother a black eye and hit the baby if it were in the way. MAKE THIS GO VIRAL!!!!!!"

Facebook user, Stephannie Hudson was equally as enraged by Carly's threatening post.
"This woman thinks it's okay to threaten nursing mothers and their eating children," she wrote to her followers. "Meet Carly Clark ladies and gentlemen, she's a real piece of work."

Incredibly, Carly felt in no way silenced by the backlash and continued to back her original argument.
"If you read my comments I plainly said it was about one person in general," she posted to Facebook. "Do what you want, but I find it very immature that you as a mother would go out of your way to come to a place that you know I work at and breastfeed.
"Idc who breastfeeds when my kids aren't around. Pulling your boob out in front of my kids on purpose just to prove a point is simply represented by who you are as a person. Threaten me all you want, over a post that wasn't about you."

It then turned out that her employer, Petsense, had caught wind of her unjustified threats of violence, and informed everyone in a post to Facebook that Carly was "no longer employed by Petsense" as they "would never condone violence."
Can you hear that? It's the sound of karma.
